Baby Booties Pattern

Here is our second baby related pattern of the day!

My mum and I recently went to a local craft fair and saw about 70% of the crochet and knitting stalls selling these tiny (and very adorable) baby booties.

Now we have always seen them posted on pattern websites and on Pinterest but we were never really inspired to make them until we saw them up close and personal.

So we did some searching online but didn't really find a pattern we both agreed on or liked very much, so we combined the elements of a few patterns plus our own ideas to simplify it down as much as possible and this is what we came up with!

You can achieve many different sizes of booties just by changing your hook size, for instance, the pink booties were made with a 3.5mm hook and we have worked out the sizing to be suitable for a newborn, however, use a 4mm and double up on your wool and you get something suitable for a 3-6 month old, our biggest pair (the red ones) worked out to be suitable for a 3-4 year old and that was with using super chunky wool and a 8mm hook

These do not take long at all! you can easily get a pair done within an hour, which is perfect for a last minute baby shower gift or as a little treat for yourself if you happen to be expecting a litlun!
